Beef Strogonoff with Spinach

Tonight was another what's for dinner night and I truly pulled this recipe out of somewhere that we will not mention. I added the spinach to the mix because we have a bunch in the fridge that needs to be used so I figured...why not?? It actually turned out pretty good and the spinach gave the dish a nice bite. If you aren't a fan of spinach feel free to leave this ingredient out.

Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef, browned
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
1 tbsp. salt
2 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. onion powder
2-3 dashes hot sauce
1/3 cup of Parmesan cheese
4 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
3 handfuls of fresh spinach
1/2 lb spaghetti noodles or pasta of your choice

Directions:
1.) In a skillet over medium heat, brown ground beef with onions and chopped garlic. Drain grease.
2.) Add salt, pepper, and onion powder to beef mixture.
3.) Add cream cheese, cream, and hot sauce. Stir until cream cheese has melted.
4.) Sprinkle in Parmesan cheese.
5.) Stir in fresh spinach and gently toss. Turn heat down to low and allow to cook until spinach is slightly wilted.
6.) Serve over cooked pasta.

What's cool is you really can't taste the spinach, in fact you wouldn't know it's there if it didn't crunch a bit when you chew it. This would be a great dish to feed to children that need to eat their veggies. Of course you would haev to come up with one heck of a lie about what the green stuff is, but hey, gotta do what you gotta do.
